Who is //kracker?

kracker is my nic. it is my nic because it used to be my dns hostname for my primary workstation on the 7x corporate intranet network back in 1997. This is the host name story of my nic.

There is also the k-style server naming convention for network attached devices back in 1996 @ 7x. This explains why the hostname was kracker and not cracker or grahamcracker my childhood nick name from my mother.

I made a choice in 1998 to trade my childhood domain name milkcarton.com to my dear friend Dan Morpheus in frustrations (growing pains) and buy kracker.org (so i could power a my own website for development fun and profit). This is the domain name story of my nickname.

Background

I was know as a computer guy growing up and went with it because i could help real people reach their own goals and it was fun for me to help others. I am a bit snarky at times in personal private discussions but i'm a white hat that wears a lot of color hats; lol). At a young age I just went forward with my own work knowing that eventually the work will add up to something incredible and potentially help others too.

Fun fact: kracker is my nic. it is my nic, there are many like it but this one is mine. Don't steel nics.
